What is Plexr and how does it work?
Plexr is an advanced, non-surgical treatment that uses plasma energy to tighten excess skin and improve a range of cosmetic skin concerns. It works by creating tiny, controlled points of plasma on the skin’s surface, causing the tissue to contract immediately while stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin.
As the skin heals over the following weeks, it becomes firmer, smoother and more rejuvenated. Plexr is commonly used to treat hooded eyelids, fine lines and wrinkles, skin laxity, and selected benign skin lesions, providing an effective alternative to surgery for suitable patients.

What is Plexr good for?
Plexr is a versatile non-surgical treatment that uses plasma energy to tighten excess skin and treat a range of cosmetic concerns, including:
- Hooded or drooping upper eyelids
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Crow’s feet
- Skin laxity around the eyes
- Sagging Skin
- Xanthelasma (selected cases)
- Acne scars and other superficial scars
By creating tiny, controlled points of plasma energy on the skin’s surface, Plexr stimulates collagen production and skin contraction. This helps to tighten, smooth and rejuvenate the treated area while avoiding the need for surgery in suitable patients.
Is Plexr right for me?
Plexr may be suitable if you:
- Want a non-surgical alternative to eyelid surgery
- Are looking for minimal downtime compared with surgery
- Have realistic expectations of what non-surgical treatment can achieve
- Are in good general health

How does Plexr work?
Plexr Plus generates the 4th state of matter called ‘plasma’ (not the plasma in the blood, this one is like a form of energy), using the air molecules in the tiny space between the device and target skin. This plasma has a unique ability to gently sublimate (make solid become gas) the target skin.
These skin tightening procedures remove just the very surface of the skin, leaving the underlying dermis intact & healthy. Typically, this is done in a dot-like pattern to avoid significant downtime and promote healing.
The process leaves small carbon crusts which fall off in the coming days after treatment. Eventually, the skin regenerates and it is this NEW skin that is the key. Plasma seems to trigger a powerful cascade of bio-remodelling with new collagen and elastin being made. The skin becomes structurally younger and tighter. Plexr is the most powerful non-surgical skin tightening device that currently exists.
Is Plexr safe?
While all treatments carry a degree of risk, PLEXR plasma technology has been used worldwide for several years with no significant adverse events being reported. Indeed, the risks are small when compared to traditional surgical techniques.
Following PLEXR treatment, patients may notice tiny dark brown/black crusts or an appearance more typical of a burn. Swelling is common and often lasts several days and can be quite significant around the eyes. The area will often appear red and warm immediately after the procedure and can be tender for a few days. Patients may experience crusting or a scab developing, and it is important to keep this clean, dry, and protected.
What results can I expect?
The results of this treatment are permanent, although as with everything – individuals will age naturally afterwards!
Patients typically observe instant results, although the best appearance is usually seen after 4-6 weeks. Sometimes, up to 3 treatments are necessary to achieve results similar to a surgical procedure. There should be at least six weeks before any further Plexr treatment in the same area.
Final results depend on factors such as the severity of skin laxity or size of the lesion, the desired result, the general condition of the skin, and any pre-existing skin or medical problems. Reduction in skin folds and creases appears immediately.
