Are fat dissolving injections safe?

Non-surgical fat removal procedures like Aqualyx fat dissolving injections are becoming more popular than their surgical alternatives, like liposuction. There are many reasons for this, safety being one of the main ones!

What is Aqualyx and how does it work?

Aqualyx is a fantastic treatment that can actually dissolve localised fat. It is made from Deoxycholic Acid (DCA), and when injected under the skin, it liquefies fat cells. Aqualyx safely and effectively dissolves fat cells, which are subsequently eliminated by the lymphatic system, permanently.

Are Aqualyx injections safe?

The fact that the Aqualyx therapy doesn’t include surgery alone makes it safer than procedures that involve being operated on and staying in the hospital.

Surgical procedures like liposuction entail a longer recovery period, more pre- and post-operative requirements, and a higher risk of infection. The less expensive alternative to invasive liposuction is Aqualyx!

Side effects are usually mild and short-lived. For a few days following treatment, you might feel mild discomfort, slight bruising, or swelling near the injection site.

How soon can you expect to see results from fat dissolving injections?

To notice benefits, it can require a few treatments. Until the desired results are obtained, the process is repeated every three to four weeks. Your doctor or nurse will let you know what to expect during your first consultation.

After each treatment, results may not be seen right away. Swelling may take a few weeks to go down, and it usually takes three to eight weeks for fat deposits to start to become noticeably reduced.
