Mole Checks
Regular mole checks are crucial for your skin health.
Take control of your well-being with monthly at-home checks, and ensure peace of mind through annual professional assessments by our expert dermatologist doctors.
With the steady rise in skin cancers, mole checks are becoming increasingly popular…
It’s very common to have moles that we are uncertain about. When you notice that a mole may be changing in size, shape or colour, it’s advisable to get the opinion of a specialist.
Our expert doctors will take a detailed consultation & discuss your personal risk for skin cancers. During the mole check consultation they will examine ALL your visible moles to identify any which are visually abnormal and any that need ongoing surveillance or removal.
If you have other skin issues you can also find information about our dermatology consultations here.
Mole Check
Moles can be a common and harmless part of the skin, but they can also be a potential indicator of skin cancer, including the most dangerous form, melanoma.
That’s why it’s crucial to conduct regular mole checks to detect any signs of potential skin cancer early. You can use the ‘ABCDE guideline’ for this – click here for your step-by-step guide to checking your moles at home.
Professional mole checks by our dermatologists, using advanced technology and techniques, are equally as important as regular at-home checks. They detect issues missed in self-checks.
Early detection can make a significant difference in melanoma and skin cancer outcomes.
Testimonial: A Life-Changing Experience
“Following a check in August when Dr Dean noticed a suspicious mole on my back, it was diagnosed as a malignant melanoma and has since been removed.
Everyone has been telling me how lucky I’ve been for it to have been caught so early (stage 1A), so thank you James.
I realise now how incredibly lucky I’ve been and have shown the pictures to friends to emphasise the A to E check is not enough really, it needs an expert eye. Many thanks again.”
