MOLE CHECK
With the steady rise in skin cancers, mole checks are becoming increasingly popular.
Itβs very common to have moles that we are uncertain about. When you notice that a mole may be changing in size, shape or colour, itβs advisable to get the opinion of a specialist.
Our expert doctors will take a detailed consultation & discuss your personal risk for skin cancers. During the mole check consultation they will examine ALL your visible moles to identify any which are visually abnormal and any that need ongoing surveillance or removal.
If you have other skin issues you can also find information about our dermatology consultations here.

Moles
Moles can be a common and harmless part of the skin, but they can also be a potential indicator of skin cancer. That’s why it’s important to have regular mole checks to detect any signs of potential skin cancer early.
Mole checks
Our dermatologists have extensive experience in performing thorough mole checks, using the latest technology and techniques to detect any abnormalities or changes in the skin. We also take the time to answer any questions you may have and provide you with a tailored plan to help keep your skin healthy.
What to expect during a mole check
During your mole check consultation, our dermatologists will examine your skin from head to toe, looking for any moles that may be suspicious or atypical. We will also take a medical history and discuss any previous sun exposure, as well as any other factors that may increase your risk of skin cancer.
Skin Cancer
If any moles are found to be suspicious, we may recommend a biopsy or full removal to determine whether skin cancer is present. If skin cancer is detected, we will work with you to develop a personalised treatment plan that addresses your individual needs.
At our skin clinic, we take a comprehensive approach to skin health, offering a range of treatments and services to help you maintain healthy skin.
If you’re concerned about the appearance of your moles or are overdue for a mole check, we encourage you to schedule a consultation with our dermatologists.

Everyone should have regular mole checks, especially individuals with fair skin, a family history of skin cancer, or a history of sun exposure.
How often should I have a mole check?
